Demonized Animals, Humanized Animals

I like reading all kinds of strange and bizarre stories very much. In the process of reading, I found that in mythological stories, animals are often portrayed as negative monsters, such as Aive and Xiangyu, or the vixen from Fair Ghost Vixen and the Book of Seas and Mountains. Humans always tend" to define animals based on our own speculation of their nature, for example, foxes are cunning, and snakes are cold-blooded. I think these unwarranted views are a malicious fantasy of human beings towards animals, whether it is a fox, a snake or a bird. I believe that no matter what kinds of "Haws" they have, they are all nice and lovely. They have their own nature. Humans should not subjectively assign incorrect labels to animals. So in this project, I made an assumption about what an animal would look like if it actually turned into a goblin or a fairy. I hope to express the beauty of animals that is unlike the stigmatized image like in traditional stories. I carefully studied the habits and physical characteristics of animals and extracted the body parts of foxes, birds, and snakes. The expansion and contraction of their skins when they move are combined with the human body to show the beautiful appearance of these creatures in my eyes using fabrics, to showcase the blurring of the boundaries between humans and animals. I hope that the flexibilit and imagination of animal-to-human, human-to-animal can bring a breakthrough in today's anthropocentric world.
